The New York State Fairgrounds will host our Fifth Annual Canine Carnival, which will be held on August 9th 2014, promoted by CNY Central (NBC3, CBS5, CW6).
The Canine Carnival has grown exponentially in its first four years. Nearly 100 rescue organizations, vendors, and groups participated in the 2013 Canine Carnival, and it was attended by around 15,000 people! Based on this success, the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation was able to make over $31,000 in donations to over 40 animal rescues in 2013. While we loved our years at Long Branch Park, the size of the Canine Carnival has outgrown that park, and we look forward to continuing to thrive and grow at the NYS Fairgrounds!
Wayne Mahar established Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation in 2008 in memory of his mother, Priscilla Mahar, and her love for animals. PMAWF works closely with those in the community to find and help non-profit organizations that work hard to provide animals’ second chances for a better life. Through various events and donations, PMAWF donates the money they raise to those that need our support.
